About the author

Sally considers herself the "accidental attorney" after a series of life events led her to become a full-time estates and trusts attorney with the majority of her cases being family disputes in the probate court (known as probate litigation). She holds a bachelor's degree from Albion College and worked as a divisional controller in a multi-state manufacturing company for several years before leaving her job to stay home and raise her children. While home with her kids she obtained her Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. After a change in marital status, she returned to the work force full-time where she has spent over twenty years practicing law. She also is a certified mediator, certified life coach, and during the infamous year of 2020, she obtained a post-graduate certificate in forensic psychology from San Diego State University. She lives in the village of Wacousta in Clinton County, Michigan with her husband and dogs.
