Overview
If Jesus were on earth today in the flesh what would He say about taxes—about taxation? Is it possible that He said far more than "...render unto Caesar?" Is it possible that Jesus' words in the Bible hold the answers to the economies and fiscal crises of the world's governments. Find out in "What Would Jesus Do... about Taxes and Taxation?"
Description
Many believe that Jesus was the wisest man to ever live and walk this earth. What would He do about the problems facing the world's governments and the economies of nations? What did He have to say about taxes? Was it limited to the oft repeated phrase, "...render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's?" Does the Bible, the book Jesus lived His life by, have answers and solutions to the world's fiscal crises? Is it possible to survive economically no matter what nations, even our own, do around us? Is there a Biblical economy that governments are supposed to operate in? All this and much more are addressed in the book "What Would Jesus Do... about Taxes and Taxation?", by Michael David Riggs.
About the author
Michael David Riggs was born in 1957, in Florence, Alabama, USA. His father was a pastor and his mother a teacher. They taught him Bible stories and principles from the earliest age. They taught him the importance of Bible reading and prayer as part of a daily lifestyle. They imparted to him a love for the Bible as the Word of God. At the age of 3 Michael made the decision to become a Christian, an experience he says is still very vivid in his memory. After high school he attended technical school where he studied electronics technology and did work toward an associates degree in applied science, graduating in 1977. Beginning at the age of 20 Michael attended Bible college in Nashville, Tennessee, then in Hammond, Indiana, graduating with a BA in Pastoral Theology in 1982. While in college, Michael began doing interim associate pastoral work. After graduating from college he began serving as pastor and worked bi-vocationally while doing so. In 1993 he began a career in radio and then in 1996 he and his wife started a business and continue to work together and enjoy God’s blessing on that business today. Michael continues to use his pastoral and teaching gifts in the marketplace and to advance the Kingdom of God in cities and nations. Michael and Denie Riggs have 5 children and 8 grandchildren, and live in the southeastern United States.
