"What My Mother Always Said..."

By Esther Christine Steele

Overview

This book is a collection of my mother's sayings I grew up hearing, the lessons I never forgot, and the love that shaped the person I became. Her simple philosophy was to live, love, and laugh, and those words became the foundation of my life. As the years passed, I came to understand that her greatest gift wasn't just the advice she gave---it was the example she lived every day through kindness, compassion, faith, and unconditional love. This book also contains poems I wrote, and sayings and quotes I've saved over the years.

Description

Some of life's greatest lessons are not found in books.... they are found in the loving words of a mother. My mother had a special way of turning everyday moments into lifelong wisdom. She always seemed to have the right saying, the right advice, or just the right words to comfort, encourage, or make me laugh. Even she is no longer here, her voice still lives in my heart me through life's joys and challenge. She also said to try to help people even if it's just with a smile because that might be what they needed for that day. One of the biggest words of advice I grew up with was to always listen to your heart, because it will always tell the truth about people and situations. This book is a love letter to my mother. Her voice may be silent, but her wisdom still echoes in my heart every day. For that I will always be grateful.

About The Author

Esther Christine Steele was born in 1946 in New Jersey. Her dream has been to publish this book. Now that she has just turned 80 years old, she prays her dream to come true. She has always loved writing and sharing her feelings of love, life, and laughter with her friends and family. Esther hopes to continue writing to help bring peace, hope, love, and laughter to people's lives and to the world. This has always been her dream and her prayers. She is widowed and has two children, Douglas and Donna, who taught her the true meaning of love.... the unconditional love and miracle of the birth of her children. She also has one truly loving, beautiful, granddaughter, Maiya, who is the light of her life. Esther lives at home with her pup, Bella, and spends hours in her garden gaining inspiration to write from nature. When her husband Donny was alive, he was so supportive in completing this book. However, when he passed, she just stopped writing all together. It is so important now that she has turned 80 that she especially wants to complete and share this book with her two children and to all her friends and family. Esther looks forward to completing several more books she has written and put "on hold" after all these years.
