Overview

"What Is it, Grandma?" is a heartwarming and humorous book for children from 2-10.  It tells the story of an endearing relationship between Addy and her grandparents. The book tells of Addy and her grandparents close relationship even though they live several hours away. Along with the primary story, we see the puppy, Bounder, giving hints as to what will follow on the next page.

The illustrations in this book are creative and whimsical.   The illustrator, Mary Campbell, knows how to capture young children's attention while tickling the funny bone of the adult reading the book.

This is a wonderful book to add to a child's library or grandparents' library. It would also be a great baby shower gift or a gift to give to grandparents for birthdays, Mother or Father's Day or Christmas.

Description
Addy's grandparents live several hours away, and she doesn't get to see them too often. But when they visit, it's exciting! Grandma usually brings a special surprise: a foreign coin, a shark's tooth, a sparkly necklace, or a new book. Addy loves thinking about what Grandma will bring her next! What little girl doesn't love a surprise? Addy is excited about Grandma's visit. She's looking forward to long talks, playing games, walking to the park, and snuggling in bed with some good books. But what she's most excited about is the special surprise Grandma always brings her. What will it be? Grandma gives her many silly hints, but Addy can't guess. When Grandma finally gives her the surprise, it just might be the best surprise of all! This charming illustrated book tells a sweet story of the close bond between a little girl and her grandmother.
