Every kid should read this What I want is very well written. My kids are 7 and 9. They were able to read and comprehend the message as well as pick up some new vocabulary words. Children are always so quick to ask for things and not understand why their parents may not be able to buy them what they want. This book perfectly explains why we say no and teaches kids to become more responsible. It goes even further to teach kids about parental responsibility. We as parents may not have the words to explain to our kids where our money goes or why we simply cannot buy them something. If you were raised by an older generation they didn't feel you even deserved an explanation and were chastised for even asking "why can't I have that?". I love this book because it creates much needed conversations. Read more
