Warrior

For nearly two generations, the world has been free from war, from religion—and from freedom. A remnant of believers of the ancient god, Bära, has arisen. They have been awakened and are experiencing supernatural power never before seen. They are hunted, tortured, and killed—yet they grow stronger. One man has been chosen to lead them, whose passion is not for power. He must choose to follow his desire or to trust an unlikely path and become: the Warrior.

A third world war and massive environmental catastrophe have all but annihilated the planet. Major cities have been reestablished and are being rebuilt on each of the six continents and a universal government has formed in order to facilitate the rebuilding of the world, and mainly to protect society from experiencing another war in the future. This story takes place in the city of Alexandria, which is located in what used to be the Province of Ontario, Canada. Although organized religion has been outlawed in order to prevent another war, individuals across the earth are having encounters with the ancient God, Bära. During these encounters, the people's spirits are becoming "Awakened," and supernatural powers are being manifested like never before. The story begins in the height of action as one of the main characters, Rayah, has just escaped incarceration by the Universal Government and is fleeing into the north country. Her goal is twofold: To avoid being caught, and to find her husband, Aiden, who has been captured and whose location and wellbeing are unknown.

Janna writes both inspirational fiction and thought-provoking blog essays with the aim to connect her readers with the reality of God's presence and desire to connect with creation. She finds creative ways to paint an image of that love, using story, in order to inspire others to seek out transformative and life-changing truth for themselves. She and her husband have four daughters, write music, and own a design and construction firm in southern Ontario. Her husband is the host of a number of home and garden television shows.
