Description
This memoir contains memorable stories and hard learned lessons from a woman in leadership. With honesty, humility, and humor, the author shares the paths she took and the choices she made over her six decades of life. Everyone has a story that has shaped who they are today, and everyone is a reflection of their family, friends, colleagues, experiences, and decisions. Laura Downey Hill believes the world desperately needs more female leaders, and hopes her story inspires readers to look back on their own paths so far as they make bold changes for the future.
About the author
Laura Downey Hill is a business owner, community advocate, leadership speaker, and a previous elected official and Mayor of Southlake, TX. She is a wife and the mother of three grown children, four dogs, and 8 rescued donkeys. While overcoming what many consider to be ordinary challenges, she also excelled in the corporate realm and in public office. This journey exposed a gift for leadership and a desire to serve with lessons for all women. Laura's focus is on meeting these challenges without surrendering to the false ethic that women must achieve like men.
