Urban Xcellence explores the idea that not everyone's success looks the same, and what's more—it doesn't need to. The people around you are working and striving towards something different, and in Urban Xcellence, the shining examples from our community are highlighted and championed. Success is not eXclusive to the rich and famous, nor does it mean the same to everyone. Follow the unfinished journeys of 11 everyday people as they strive to make a difference in their own lives and their communities. Through their stories, let's create our definition of Xcellence.

Malcom X. Bowser is a writer, curator, and founder of Urban X Podcast and UrbanX.nyc blog. As a Bronx native, he navigated his urban experience by being both book and street smart. He earned his B. A. in History from SUNY College at Old Westbury in 2015. He's been a contributing writer for the New York Trend publication and various blogs. He's woke, but he loves naps.
