Description

Every question about the human experience must eventually wrestle with three irreducible questions: Origin, Purpose, and Destiny. All religions ever constructed and all philosophy ever developed, in the end, are trying to answer these three questions. However, one lifetime permits the consideration and testing of only a handful of the ten thousand religions and seven categories of philosophy. It is much easier to outsource this burden to the preacher, the priest, the guru, and the scientist than to embark on such a colossal task. "Truth and It's Alternatives in This Age of Delusion" believes differently. Included in this volume are strategies and a framework to filter every religious and philosophical claim into three workable categories so that the reader might compare and contrast every claim against the available evidence. By filtering every religious and philosophical claim through the filter of Origin, Purpose, and Destiny, they can be narrowed down to only three options for consideration: Atheism, Pantheism, and Theism. These three claims can then be further compared and contrasted—complications and contradictions identified and analyzed. If Truth does exist in this realm, how is it communicated? Is it possible that the Truth is on our nightstand, but the traditions of men have hidden its' fullness? Could it be that the Bible is one story, not two?

About The Author

Born into a faithful Christian family within a strong Christian culture, Todd experienced the fullness of the Protestant explaination about how this realm is constructed and how it works. God, church, patriotism, the Republican party, and education were overlapping themes that explained reality and what it meant to dwell within it. A crisis of intellectual integrity occurred when Todd's son asked to be baptized into the Truth of Jesus Christ while at the same time the son held a concurrent and equal belief in Santa Clause. Having already wrestled with intellectual difficulties of Chrisitantiy and having already explored atheism and pantheism, Todd then endeavored to teach his children every option humanity has ever considered in an effort to explain the realm, origin, purpose and destiny. This book is a distillation of a thirty year exploration of the topic and an organization of the information to be communicated to the next generation for their own consideration. It is an ongoing study. And the questions herein are likely more valuable than answers offered.
