About the author
As the daughter of a dedicated English teacher, writing is in Holly Gumke's DNA. She grew up in York, Pennsylvania, and graduated with the second class of women from the United States Military Academy at West Point. After serving in the Army, Holly continued to hone her writing skills as a university administrator, while finding joy in her family, and her hobbies of songwriting, painting, writing, and volunteering. Holly is a proud mom, grandmother, wife, animal lover, songwriter, lyricist, and veteran who loves writing children's stories. She actively engages in her community as a volunteer and shines as an author and illustrator. Holly is inspired daily by her husband, family, friends, and two incredibly cute rescue dogs.
