Overview

As Christians, we all believe in God and his endless forgiveness available to anyone who chooses to be a follower of Jesus. But does that same God provide miraculous favor to the select few through requesting prayer, as countless other believers who love God with all their heart continue to suffer and perish on this Earth? Is God managing any or all of the events occurring on this planet? Or, has God provided us unmitigated free will and allowed this world to run its course through the actions of his free-willed creation and the random chaotic events that occur naturally? If God provided miraculous favor during the biblical era, does that mean that he continues to provide that today? This book is a challenge to all fellow Christians to reconsider what they honestly believe about current divine intervention—not just what they want to believe. If you're a Christian, have a heart for hurting people, and believe God would never want you to hurt anyone, this book is a must read. Most Christians are unaware of the damage they are inflicting on other fellow Christians, the great commission, and the reputation of our God by publicly perpetuating that he provides miraculous favor. Join me on this realty-based journey that will help center your life in gratitude for God's amazing grace, rather than the need for supernatural favor.

Description
This book was written to help hurting Christians who can’t seem to reconcile a God who supposedly loves them with the suffering realities of this world. It was also written as a cautionary challenge to all fellow Christians to critically reconsider what they believe and publicly convey regarding current miraculous intervention. What seems innocent, even God honoring, has the potential to create a plethora of carnage for the less fortunate, further alienate seekers and nonbelievers, and smear the reputation of our God. Is God still in the miracle business and has prayer really caused God to act after the era of Jesus? Is God's grace really sufficient for us as Paul quoted Jesus, or do we also need miracles today? Is God working behind the scenes favorably manipulating the circumstances for select people, while indifferent to the needs of others who love him dearly? Does God play favorites? You may not agree with all of my positions, but if this book quells the desires of those who publicly perpetuate godly favor, or helps hurting Christians hold on to a God who seems to have abandoned them, then it will have served its purpose.
