Description
While the May rains fell on Seattle, Dr. Liv Brayden's life was falling apart as well. Being a Bio-cultural Anthropologist wasn't all it may have appeared to be, when she was a mere student in college. Now, as a lab assistant to a famous Anthropologist at UW, and the fiance of a world reknowned Volcano Explorer, Liv begins to find herself unraveling, as each of her dreams for happiness sip away one by one. First, the love of her life bails on her, claiming his career is too important to be bogged down by a marriage. Never mind that they'd been together for six years and popping the wuestion was his idea. He called in his last favor, and canceled the event. Then, she arrives to work to find that her mentor, Professor Ellis Cray has been missing in the field for nearly thirty days and she's asked to go to Trapline, Alaska to complete his work. What's a scorned woman to do? Once she arrives in Trapline, she's trucked to one of the last Tlingit villages in the world, and forced to accept the paranormal happenings of a mythology she believed to be nothing more than creative imagination. And, to top it all off, she's been invited to share a cabin with a dentist, who dons a cloak and role plays with the local teens for kicks. Can she find her Professor, salvage her career and learn to love all over again, in the face of a mysterious hoax? Or, will the spirits of the Tlingit~Yaki have their way?

After residing for nearly 16 years in Alaska and graduating from UAA with a BA of Anthroplogy, cum laude in 2003; The author now lives in Hawaii with her husband and sassy Siamese cat. She writes paranormal romance, and has the first book in her series of YA Steampunk, coming out at the end of 2012.
