Each page features a hand drawn black ink illustration, printed one sided in order to color easily, share, and/or frame. All ages and skill levels are invited to engage in an artistic experience as you color and enhance each image. The artist encourages you to find peace and mindfulness as you enter her imaginative world where female faces appear. Be empowered as you explore this art experience and share in the art making process. The artist would love for you to share your unique and colorful masterpieces on social media with her and others. Use colored pencils, crayons, markers or any medium your choice. There are many possibilities such as scanning a page and coloring it digitally. The cover art was created through a digital scan, then transferring to an iPad and colored with a stylus and the software SketchPro. Most importantly is that this one of a kind coloring book helps foster creativity, and joy. Life is brutal and beautiful, may this book help us focus on the beauty.
About the author
Lisa is a Latina visual artist from NYC. Her paintings begin with a meditative free-form drawing which is then actualized with vibrant colors of whatever medium suits the piece. From art educator to homeschooling mom to teaching artist Lisa's goal is to inspire creativity in others. Life can be cruel and ugly, but it can also be magical and beautiful, Lisa wants to encourage the viewer to re-focus on the latter. In her constant creating, female faces usually appear., which is why she will often exclaim."there she is!" Her art work has been on exhibit in various NYC venues and galleries. She accepts commissioned work and can be found @ www.lisamariamayart.com, Instagram and Facebook.
