A lifelong, fiercely partisan Boston Red Sox fan, Gerard Purciello spends quite a lot of time "waiting 'til next year." but he remains stubbornly optimistic. His poems and a short story were published in his college literary magazine at Broward Community College, and he is at work on two other novels. Injured in an automobile accident when he was 18, Gerard is a paraplegic who hopes to motivate other people with disabilities to overcome the odds.
