About the author

Betty Anes Bartha, B.S. Education, major in Teaching and minor in Psychology. Betty's wide background in Education includes: Teaching in New York, Florida and Massachusetts; Reading Tutor for all age levels; Instructor at Fairleigh Dickinson University for English as a second language; and Poet. Betty enjoys piano, golf, pilates, and volunteering and resides in Scottsdale, Arizona with her husband Steve. They have two sons and two granddaughters. Betty created and co-authored the first book in the Snug-A-Hug Series, The Wonderful World of My Wacky Grandma.


Karen (Kovitz) Katchen, Ph.D. is a Clinical Psychologist as well as an Executive Coach in the Technology Sector. As an author, speaker and educator, she is a strong advocate for mental health in educational, health, workplace and public settings. She is a painter and stone sculptor and lives in Toronto, Canada. She and her husband have three children and are the proud grandparents of five.  She co-authored and illustrated the first book in the Snug-A-Hug series, The Wonderful World of My Wacky Grandma.
