The Wishing Well

In this book, a young boy explores his stomping grounds while at the same time seeking God's guidance in finding his true soulmate in life. In some ways, this was written about my own experiences of youth, although, I never found a wishing well. That being said, I truly hope that you find it as inspiring as it was for me to write. Looking back at how easily it rolled out onto the paper, there's no way in this world that this poem was not God's inspiration. As I wrote, the rhythm of the words as well as the rhyme, simply "happened." Honestly, I can't possibly explain the ease at which this came to me. As you read this, I'm going to make one request. If you do find meaning and merit for you and the children you read this to, please pass it along. Share it with as many people you can that will also find equal value in the story. The monies raised are going to ensure that my children can continue at the Christian school that they currently attend and allow me to be the stay-at-home father that they deserve. My name is Rumler Drew and I am a single father of three amazing Godly children. In today's modern society, there has been a very steady decline in the value and sanctity of a faithful marriage. This book that I am presenting, originally penned as a simple poem, was written a very long time ago, roughly 25 years and I always felt that there was going to come a day when I would find a way to publish it. It wasn't until my wife abandoned us that the real purpose of this book came into clear view. As a Christian, I now feel and see the impact of having Christian values modeled for young children so that they can fully understand the substance and magnitude of living within the pathway that Christ has set forth as an unshakeable family unit. These were the values that my wife lacked in her childhood resulting in her second divorce and my broken heart and home. As I publish this book, she is still away, much like the prodigal son; but I have an unwavering faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that, when His will and timing is revealed, she will find her way back to her Father and back to her family.
