We know the gospel story of redemption - the creation of Man, his subsequent Fall, the story of Israel and the coming of the Messiah. The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ cleanses those that believe in Him from sin and bring them into right relationship with God. But have you ever wondered WHY God did it that way? In this book the author examines scripture that illustrate the character and ways of God, and uses them to show how God's actions in redemption flow from His character and ethics. Scott Bernardi and his wife Emily Bernardi have been hungry for the Word of God ever since they were saved in 1974 (before they were married), reading the Bible through six times and eight times respectively that first year. Scott's teaching ability was recognized early on, and he received a prophecy that "The wisdom is in your pen". Scott and Emily were married in 1979, and over the years had five boys, all grown now. They attended Rhema Bible Training Center in Oklahoma from 1982 – 1984, returned to California and were associate pastors for 2.5 years at Faith Christian Fellowship in Concord, and took over a church in Antioch, California which they renamed to The Church at Antioch.
