Overview
Want greater productivity from your staff. Want to be happier at work. Want to know why smart businesses are doing better. The Trust Future holds the key. It has been described as “a breath of fresh air in current business literature!” Uncover the future of business, as it shifts to transparency, accountability and responsibility, in a response to an uncertain world shaped by the global financial crisis. Trust is the currency of success in the new era. It is the cure to restoring confidence between employees, customers, investors and suppliers; and to drive the growth our economic system and society requires. The Trust Future foretells this critical change, and what leaders must do to engage their employees and stakeholders, and to reduce the political games that destroy value in their organizations. It unearths the false premises that erode business resilience, unleashes the hidden productivity, passion and innovation lying dormant within every company and unlocks success and happiness. For company leaders, it is a management blueprint for improved performance and organizational health, and a roadmap for better decision-making. Packed full of ground-breaking management research, case studies, workbooks, astonishing business facts you never thought possible and, personal stories, this book contains what every manager needs to learn to build a better business. For employees, it is a manual for a happier and more successful career, with insights into what to expect from best practice management and how to live true to your values. It encourages employees to inspire companies to act responsibly, and vice-versa to keep each other accountable. In The Trust Future, transparency confronts secrecy, truth defies deceit, engagement challenges compliance, and shrewdness outperforms cunning - to open your eyes to a smarter way to create growth and prosperity, and to finding the authentic you, along the way. Once you read it, you will never operate in the same way again.

About the author
Omer Soker is a member of the Alliance of Trustworthy Business Experts; a global movement of recognized thought leaders on trust and ethics. Omer’s insights for The Trust Future come from a powerfully diverse 32-year career in senior management at multinational corporations such as Thomson Reuters and Reed Elsevier, as well as his own entrepreneurial ventures, two remits as a hard-driven change agent brought in to fix broken companies and volunteering his time as an accredited Buddhist teacher to help school children learn how to be happy. He has lived in London, Hong Kong, Istanbul and now resides in Sydney, Australia. These opposing experiences have given Omer a fascinatingly rounded view on success; what works, what doesn’t and why. He detects what many leaders can't see, by foreseeing the cause and effects of decisions into the future. He refuses to buy into ego or pretense, and leads with humility, humor and courage because it is what works best. It also happens to be ethical. He wrote The Trust Future to make business life more productive, more satisfying, more innovative and more collaborative. His passion comes from wanting to help leaders and employees realize that the road to true success is simpler and less antagonistic than it’s made out to be. In his spare time, he practices martial arts, meditation and merrymaking.
