About the author
Dr. Chuck Holloway, believes that the right mix of a right relationship with the Almighty and education is essential for success in the present day global market. In this ethos, he received a certificate in Biblical Studies from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Obtained undergraduate training from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. In the tradition of moving forward, he attended The University of Chicago and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Social Science and returned to the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee where he completed the Doctor of Philosophy degree in the sixth ranked Urban Affairs Program. His research focuses on urban development, race relations, and the urban politics. A philanthropic scholar in his own rite, Dr. Holloway is a professor in the sociology department at Milwaukee Area Technical College. In addition to that, he is the Founder and President of The Human Development Center, Inc. a Milwaukee based social service agency which provides services to youth and families in the areas of mental health, job skills, life skills, early childhood education, and youth development. Dr. Holloway takes great pride in giving back through his community based organization and since 2003, his agency has provided scholarships to high school seniors each year. Also, Dr. Holloway is the Founder and President of The Institute for Social Advancement which focuses on providing affordable housing to underprivileged groups as well as corporate training. Dr. Holloway believes that with God all things are possible and that there is nothing too hard for God! One of his guiding philosophies is “what we call failures are actually lessons which are purposed to teach us something new about ourselves…the challenge then is to shake ourselves off, modify our strategy, then go out and be successful.” He is the senior pastor and establishmentarian of Yeshua Christian Fellowship Church, a Milwaukee-based ministry. He has been active in ministry since the age of 13 serving in music, juvenile prison missions, youth and singles ministry. He was licensed as an evangelist in November 1998 and his calling, labor, and ministry work led him to be affirmed as an Apostle in March 2009. Often, he is asked how he has accomplished so much and he is not reluctant to tell people that it’s because of the help of the Lord and with God’s favor. His current message to the youth he works with and those that work with him in his companies can be found in a scripture taken from Proverbs 11:27, “he that diligently seeketh good, procureth favor.” Beyond the image, Dr. Holloway wants those he comes into contact with to be empowered, changed, and enlightened so they can experience the best reality possible for themselves.
