About the author


Gerald Hege was born and raised in the little farming community of Pilgrim, N.C. He served as a N.C. Sheriff from 1994-2003. He published his first book, Deathbed Confessions in 2017 and has written over 100 short stories based on his life living on Tobacco Road and serving in Combat in Vietnam. He lives on his Bunker Boy's Ranch and spends his time helping Veterans throughout N.C. He and his wife Geri have been married 52 years and have two sons.
