Overview
"The Stones of Yemen" carries readers deep into Yemen's war-torn mountains and the souls of those who call it home. Bryan Rogers, PA-C, stumbles into Yemen on a medical peace mission to save the children, only to find himself in the middle of a terrorist plot that only he can thwart. Bereavement, loss, love, and hope play out against the backdrop of civil war.
Description
On August 9, 2018, a Saudi Arabian jet dropped an American-made bomb onto a Yemeni school bus, killing forty boys under the age of ten. An American physician associate named Bryan Rogers rushes to help with the casualties, only to discover that one of the boys was the only son of a dear friend. As anti-American sentiment sweeps through the valley, terrorists plan an act of retribution and begin recruiting. Bryan's friend, consumed by inconsolable grief after losing his son, is an easy target to build their numbers. After losing his own father in the 9/11 attack 16 years earlier, Bryan knows he's the only one who can stop his friend. Will he be able to stop an act of vengeance against his country?
