Description

The Source begins with a scientific anomaly so small it should be insignificant: measurable changes in the Earth’s rotation and axial tilt. But as the data accumulates, it becomes clear that the planet is beginning to behave in ways conventional science cannot explain.

NASA scientist Christina Whiting becomes part of an international effort to understand what is happening. The investigation brings together five accomplished women scientists whose expertise spans multiple disciplines. Rather than competing for recognition, they work collaboratively, following the evidence as it leads far beyond the boundaries of conventional planetary science.

Their search reveals an extraordinary connection between the Earth’s changing behavior and some of humanity’s most ancient and enigmatic sites. Göbekli Tepe, Giza, Sacsayhuamán, Uluru, Gunung Padang, and other locations are not simply remnants of early civilizations. Together, they appear to form part of a global system whose purpose has been hidden for thousands of years.

The trail eventually leads to Antarctica, where the team discovers evidence that challenges accepted ideas about human history and the forces that have kept the planet stable. About The Author

Dominic (Dom) Nessi has spent much of his life exploring the intersection of travel, history, science, technology, and the enduring mysteries of the ancient world.

Dom is the author of The Source trilogy, a series of science and archaeological thrillers that explores what can happen when ancient mysteries collide with modern science, technology, ambition, and the human desire to understand where we came from.

A lifelong traveler and photographer, Dom has visited more than 135 countries, often seeking out archaeological sites, ancient cities, remote landscapes, and cultures whose histories stretch back thousands of years. His fine-art photography grew out of those travels and has been published in a series of coffee-table books. Many of the places, cultures, and landscapes he has encountered have also provided inspiration for his fiction.

Dom’s professional career has been equally wide-ranging. For nearly a decade, he served as Chief Information Officer for Los Angeles World Airports, where he was responsible for technology supporting one of the world’s busiest airport systems, including Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). He previously served as the first Chief Information Officer of the U.S. National Park Service. Today, he works as an aviation cybersecurity consultant, helping airports address the increasingly complex technological and security challenges facing modern aviation.

Earlier in his federal career, Dom worked extensively with Native American communities across the United States. As Deputy Assistant Secretary for Native American Programs at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, his work took him to tribal communities throughout the country. He participated in efforts to expand housing and economic opportunities in Indian Country and helped advance programs that continue to serve Native American families today. Those years gave him a lasting appreciation for Native history, traditions, resilience, and relationships with the land.

He lives in Las Vegas and continues to write, travel, photograph, and consult, always searching for the places and questions that find their way into his next story.
