About the author

Jami has been an active member of Antioch church at the Countryside YMCA. After spending a career in the Air Force Reserves as a pilot, and raising 4 children, Jami and her husband joined a small group of couples who were growing in the Lord. The group took on a project to tell the story of how the YMCA began in a children’s book.  Since Jami has been a chaplain at the YMCA for several years she knew the story.  She found herself in an empty nest and heard the Lord whisper, “You can do that my daughter, Start writing”.  So eventually, she did.  Then with much editing and tweaking from the whole group, the text evolved.  Jami doesn’t claim this to be her work alone, but with help from her Christian Sisters and their pastor, David Newman, it is all for the Glory of God. Jami resides with her husband, Tom, in Lebanon, Ohio, where they miss their 4 grown children.
