Christopher was raised among the rugged landscapes of Washington State's Yakima Valley, where he spent his early years exploring the outdoors and working on his grandfather's hop farm. These early adventures in the Pacific Northwest sparked the vivid imagination that now drives his storytelling. While building both a professional career and his family, Christopher never lost his fondness for fantasy fiction. Those decades of inspiration eventually culminated in his debut novel, The Queen and the Messenger.
