When a lonely little pony leaves his herd behind, he isn't sure where he belongs—or if he'll ever be happy again.
Everything changes when he meets a gentle fox and a kind-hearted raccoon who welcome him with friendship, adventure, and a simple prayer that transforms the way he sees the world.
As the three friends journey through the forest together, the pony discovers that God hears every prayer. Sometimes the answers come in surprising ways, and sometimes we are called to become part of the answer ourselves.
Filled with beautiful illustrations, lovable animal characters, and a message of faith, kindness, and trust, The Pony Who Said His Prayers helps children understand that God is always listening, always caring, and always guiding their path.
A touching story that encourages children to grow closer to God while discovering the joy of helping others.
Perfect for animal lovers, Christian families, bedtime reading, and children learning the power of prayer.

REVIEW
As the title aptly suggests, this is a ‘faith’ book and, in that context, it’s very good. The author, Carla Trible, is a talented writer who knows how to tell a story. For the most part, it’s accessibly written, and I think most children will like the animal characters. Not surprisingly for a book of this nature, there’s a very strong message which seems to be ‘God may answer your prayers, but not in the way you expect.’
So, what’s the book about? Basically, it’s the story of a young pony who runs away from his herd. They think he runs too fast and plays too rough. Thankfully, he meets two very welcoming and sympathetic animals – a raccoon and a fox. They have fun together, helping each other in many ways. The fox, for example, prayed to run as fast as the wind. Well, the pony can help him to do just that! The pony, it seems, is the answer to his – and the raccoon’s prayers.
All in all, I’m happy to recommend this picturebook to children aged, say, 6 – 8, particularly if they go to a ‘faith’ school or live in a ‘faith’ family. I think most young readers will enjoy the well written dialogue, the colourful illustrations, and they’ll be rooting for the pony to find happiness.
