Description

Liz Taggart's life takes a drastic turn when her boyfriend is killed on the same day the couple breaks up. Arrested and falsely accused of his murder, Liz is eventually cleared of all charges and released. Her troubles are far from over, however, as she receives a phone call from an attorney naming her in the last will and testament of a recently deceased woman—a wealthy woman worth millions who Liz has never met. With her brother-in-law, Brock Thompson, already investigating to help find Adam's killer, Liz learns that her benefactor turns out to be Adam's biological grandmother. Adopted at birth, Adam's grandmother has had Adam followed throughout his life—never making contact. The wealthy woman had originally intended to leave her assets to Adam, until she discovered that Adam had ties to an active domestic terrorist hate group. Changing her will shortly before her own death, the woman instead left her entire estate and fortune to Liz. The caveat: Adam was never to know the source of the inheritance. Believing that Adam's murder and the fortune are connected, Liz and Brock search through the Rosenberg home, and discover yet another hidden family secret—the birth certificate for Adam's twin David, born minutes after Adam and secretly adopted away… Can Liz unravel the complex mystery of Adam's life and death before she loses her own?
