About the author

Inspired by my role as a soon-to-be grandfather, I set out to create a family heirloom of sorts. What started as a simple 'story' on paper, blossomed into the Night the Animals Met the King when I met a young illustrator (Olivia Vittitow) who brought that simple story to life. New to the Children's genre, I am not a new author. I've written two books in my professional capacity as a financial advisor, speaker, and trainer have been widely circulated and continue to sell today. Since starting this project, I've become an actual grandfather to a beautiful grand-daughter - Scarlett. I live in the Indianapolis area with my wife Julie, and two adult daughters Jessica and Jackie.

Overview

Everyone knows the story of Christ's birth – no room at the Inn – the star – the manger – the shepherds - the wisemen – and of course the baby Jesus – wrapped in swaddling clothes.

The Night the Animals Met the King recounts that magical story through the eyes, voices, and personalities of the animals in the barn on that Night of Nights.

This beautifully illustrated hardcover heirloom captures the imagination of children, and will be a favorite story time read for parents and grandparents each Christmas season for years to come.

Description

What must the animals in that Bethlehem barn have thought the night Christ was born.  People - staying in their home?  Strange stars lighting the night sky?  A parade of visitors?

It had to be confusing - much the way the story can be for young children when as they first hear of that birth.

Fortunately, an owl named Gabriel (hmmm) - seems to somehow have an insightful connection to the story - and is there to guide his animal friends through the night's events.

Experiencing that Night of Nights through a different lens is exciting, comforting, and experiential for young readers as well as the parents and grandparents who will help them relive it year after year.
