DR. EDDIE CONNOR is a best-selling author, college professor, empowerment speaker, radio/TV correspondent, and conference host of "Vision Summit." As the founder of Dr. Eddie's Academy, he facilitates masterclasses on faith, identity, relationships, and speaker training. Dr. Connor is a survivor of stage four cancer and empowers people to overcome obstacles. He transparently shares his journey of overcoming cancer as a spokesman for the American Cancer Society. As an aide to former U.S. Congressman Hansen Clarke, Dr. Connor assisted in developing a resolution (H.Res. 721 - 112th) expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that bolstering literacy among African-American and Hispanic men is an urgent national priority. The resolution became the impetus for President Barack Obama's, "My Brother's Keeper" initiative. Dr. Connor is a recipient of "The President Barack Obama Volunteer Service Award" and "The President Barack Obama Lifetime Achievement Award" from The White House.
