About The Author


Sasighan Prasertsri, NY LMT, CE Approved Provider #792 (NY, FL, GA, SC, TN) is the Founder of Authentic Thai Massage NYC. Her desire to spread her knowledge of Thai massage and treat as many people as possible led to her wanting to teach her special authentic style of massage. Sasighan was born in Bangkok, Thailand where she first learned authentic Thai massage traditions. She studied at Wat Po Traditional Medical School, the Thai Massage School of Chiangmai, the Union of Thai Traditional Medicine Society, and the Phenkhae Thai Traditional Medical School. She moved to the United States in 2000, and became a NY state Licensed Massage Therapist in 2005. Then, she started her own massage business and became the Founder and Director of Dusnee Thai Spa, later known as Authentic Thai Massage NYC. In 2015, Sasighan was approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork as a continuing education Approved Provider. She also became an adjunct professor at the Pacific College of Oriental medicine, where she lectured on Thai massage courses.
