About the author
Timothy Joseph Milnes was born on May 25,1956 in Juneau, the Territory of Alaska, (a fact he enjoyed pointing out.) He died an untimely death in a tragic car accident near his home on May 2, 2017. He was married to Mary Louise Shalz (a wife with the patience of Job) for 38 years. He lost his first son as an infant, but had 5 adoring children who put up with his complaints, his woes, and enjoyed his humor. He had a bachelors degree in Theology and a master's degree in Pastoral Ministry from Seattle University. He had a sociology degree and a teaching certificate from Evergreen State College, Olympia, WA. He also completed a certificate in Spiritual Counseling from St. Placid's Priory, Olympia, WA. He taught religious education at Bellarmine Preparatory High School, Tacoma WA for over 30 years. He was a youth minister at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Olympia, WA for 2 years. He also volunteered teaching adult religious education at various parishes. He had many hobbies over his life time. Writing started as a hobby and became a passion. Given the chance, he would have pursued writing as a full- time career. He loved to read and write poetry. He had written a multitude of poems which have been collected at the end of this book. His previous work, as an author, was an unpublished autobiography for his master's program entitled Gabrielle's Rose.
