The King's Worry Tree

THE KING'S WORRY TREE King is getting married, but his crown shows sadness. He wants his subjects to be happy, so he creates a "Worry Tree" for the children for the children to share their concerns. The king responds with his royal solutions and his kingdom is back on track.

The King's Worry Tree is a captivating early reader book meant to engender conversations with peers and adults about anxieties and issues typical children have in their lives. When the king invites his young subjects to put their worries in his Royal Tree, he pledges to respond with solutions. He addresses their fears in a charming and engaging fashion which does not minimize their concerns. Parents, teachers and counselors can discuss constructive ways to give a young child a voice. And, with rhymes and plays on words, it's just plain fun!

Betsy J. Bocher, a graduated of Hofstra University (BA, MS), has spent a lifetime in education, most recently as a reading specialist and literacy coach in a Virginia middle school. She has devoted herself to publishing, BEWARE! THE HOLOCAUST--A MULTI-SENSORY APPROACH and other books for children. "The 2000 Woman of the Millennium in Education," awarded by the Easter Seals Society of New Jersey, recognized her as an advocate for education on behalf of all students. As an elementary school professional, a community college adjunct instructor, the owner and director of The AfterSchoolHouse, as well as The Sweet Potato Players, she has continued in the field of education as a tutor and as a speaker.
