About The Author

I was born in Germany, grew up in Switzerland, and eventually discovered that Australia is my favourite country. Initially trained as a secretary, my life took an unexpected turn when I met my partner, who owned a wildlife sanctuary, leading me to learn and manage all the work involved in caring for animals. In my free time, I enjoy exploring a variety of different handicrafts. My innate connection to all the animals, lead me on to writing this book. I hope you enjoy our sanctuary wildlife stories as much as I have caring for them. The ten acres for the new Illawong Sanctuary at Mirani was purchased in November 1995 and the relocations finalised by Easter 1996. The new sanctuary was officially opened on June 07th 1997
