Overview

"The Holy Spirit Journal: Fasting for Purpose, Transformation, and Breakthrough" is a tool to help stay on track while committed to fasting and a great place to document God’s activity during that time for remembrance and testimony. Each journal entry page contains a prayer prompt, a daily affirmation, corresponding scripture to the daily affirmation, and prompts to document what you are fasting for, how long, what you are giving up, what God is revealing in you and around you. Also included are many scriptures that identify why we fast.

Description

There is no greater gift than an intimate relationship with God; that is one of the
many rewards for fasting and prayer done well. Fasting with prayer is a powerful
way to replace an appetite for the things of this world with a spiritual hunger
for communion with God. Strength, transformation, and breakthrough come
from the ability to give up things of this world and trust God to be our one true
dependency. God knows each of our hearts more personally than we can ever
imagine and he knows what our specific struggles and needs are better than we
do. When we commit to abstinence and allow God to be at the center of our
strength in saying “no” to this world, we allow our heart to better align with
God’s will for our lives. Fasting with prayer is essentially providing God with a
love offering that allows him full realm to work in us and transform the desires
of our heart. Our commitment of abstinence is acknowledgement that we want to
be refined, that we have faith God is watching and is with us always, and that we
want more of Him above all things. Fasting and prayer also position our heart to
recognize God’s presence and receive His direction while allowing us to realize
our deepest levels of discipline and healthy living. Fasting with prayer should be
a life-long discipline practiced regularly for restoration and maximum intimacy
with God; advancing us forward purposefully with divine intervention and the
ability to fully use the gifts God has blessed us with and to steward. The Holy
Spirit Journal: Fasting for Purpose, Transformation, and Breakthrough is a tool
to help stay on track while committed to fasting and a great place to document
God’s activity during that time for remembrance and testimony.
