Description
Malina, Tehya, and Rue thought their walk to the park would only take an hour. Discovering a time portal it lead them on a journey of a lifetime! Spanning two centuries, the girls witnessed the horrible treatment of the Native Americans in the 1860's. Finding two frightened Navajo children, the girls were able to return them to home. While at the hogan, Malina, Tehya, and Navajo family were captured by soldiers. When Malina and Tehya didn't return from their walk Bill, Malina's dad, set out looking for them. He had just installed a new app on Malina's cell phone. Seeking advice and help from an old friend he found the time portal. Through a wierd gliche in time he was able to communicate with Malina. Together he and Tami, his friend, traveled in time to the 1860's. Tracking down Malina and Tehya, Bill was able to rescue them. Challenging an angry young soldier, Bill was able to set him on a positive path. A path of celebrating life and peace instead of death and hatred!
About the author
Tami, an Irish Ukrainian woman from Northwestern Pa, is a miracle instead of a statistic! A cancer survivor of 56 years she is thankful to be alive. Her childhood was spent on a 96 acre farm. Horses, drawing, singing, and hikes to the woods gave her an active imagination. Loosing her right leg at age eight, her parents and friends encouraged Tami. After completing college with an art education degree she headed to Arizona and taught at a Navajo boarding school. Completing that adventure and developing some lasting friendships Tami traveled back east. Captivated by her story telling her students and friends were delighted when Tami starting writing her books. The Hole in the Wall: The Secrets of the Canyon is book three. "Everyday you can wake up, breathe, and walk on your own.....that's a good day!" says Tami.
