The Green Fields is the debut novel of the author, Jameel Karim, a Muslim African American from the city of Chicago in the United States. The novel was first imagined in 2010 and is just now being released. The book is a piece of fiction set throughout historic events that take place in the land of Palestine and the surrounding areas between 1948 to 1987. The reader follows the lives of Noora, a Palestinian girl from the village of Deir Yassin, and Ami, a Jewish boy whose parents relocate to Palestine post World War II. Fall in love with these characters as they relish in the memories of family, culture, love, religion and friends and triumph over tragedy, pain, brutality, and sadness across a land becoming increasingly volatile and dangerous throughout the ages. JAMEEL F. KARIM was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. The Green Fields is his debut novel as an author, which he started in 2011 while attending college at Chicago State University. Within the Chicagoland area, Karim involves his time in volunteer efforts for Muslims. Also, he works as a youth mentor and teacher for young Muslims.
