Although The Green Earth has many practical Green Hacks and Repurposing ideas, the book is more philosophical and is meant to touch the soul of the human relationship with nature. The author relates his personal childhood experiences of the unplanned and organic training he received to live a Green Lifestyle. The Green Earth introduces the Green Language to society with the hope that the language can help change the culture.

The author is a former engineer, inventor and business owner. Growing up in a rural post war small town, he experienced nature on a daily basis and organically learned the Green philosophy as a way of life and survival. Working as an engineer, he gained experience on the development of Cruise Missiles, Radar Systems for the F-14 Tomcat and other advanced technology projects. As an embedded engineer in the military, he learned ways to save water and shared these experiences in The Green Earth. In 1990, he was inspired to optimize existing electric motor technology and implement this concept into an electric car. After receiving a US Patent, he could not find investors and eventually abandoned his efforts towards this goal. The world was not ready for electric cars. 30 years later, electric cars are here. In 2021, he decided to write The Green Earth and share his life experience in living and thinking Green. Timing is everything and the time is right for The Green Earth movement.
