Over the past two decades, James Pepper has made, by hand, an illuminated manuscript of the Bible. He used a combination of techniques that include pen and ink, pastels, collage, and more. In this particular selection from The Pepper Illuminated Bible, James was inspired to put aside the pages he had originally conceived and painstakingly created to draft a new series in the wake of the 9/11 attacks on the USA.
