About the author
Originally from Montréal, Québec, Dr. Janet Lapp was a Registered Nurse before receiving a PhD in Clinical Psychology from McGill University, Montréal. Following a post-doctoral Fellowship in Behavioral Medicine at McGill, Dr. Lapp accepted a position as Associate Professor in California, and was in private practice for several years. After retiring from her university career, she founded a consulting group that has created transformational change in organizations around the world from Russia to Argentina. Today she is a sought after expert on thriving with fast change, and as a consultant or engaging keynote presenter has been part of the transformational efforts of several Fortune 100 corporations. She is the author of five books, creator of an Emmy-nominated CBS/TV-health series, and has been inducted into the Speakers’ Hall of Fame. In her spare time, as a pilot and flight instructor, she flies her airplane on medical and rescue missions, and with the Flying Doctors of Mercy, each month flies to central México to help deliver free care to the underserved. She lives in Southern California.
