About the author
In 1958, a psychiatrist wrote on her hospital chart that her prognosis was ‘guarded’–that she would probably never finish school nor be able to develop relationships. Dr. Janet Lapp did finish school–a Ph.D. from McGill University in Montreal Canada–and now knows that we should never believe in other people’s limited definition of ourselves. She’s been a registered nurse, nurse manager, professor, clinical psychologist, author of four other books and creator of the CBS series ‘Keep Well.’ Originally from Montreal Canada, Dr. Janet founded and is currently president of a consulting firm in San Diego California, and has addressed audiences from 20 to 8,000 around the world. When her children grew up, she started sensible hobbies such as getting her commercial, instrument and instructor pilot’s licenses, flying a plane across Africa, wreck diving, and climbing mountains in the Andes. She believes that you’re never too old, it’s never too late, and nothing is impossible.
