Description

In "The Faded Blue Line," Conner Phoenix embarks on a law enforcement career path after college and military service. With a traditional ideal of what a police officer should look like and how they represent their community, Conner has tremendous respect for current law enforcement representatives who operate under intense scrutiny. In this first book of the Conner Phoenix series, the reader follows Cadet Phoenix from the Police Academy to the streets, where he quickly becomes disillusioned with the criminal justice system at the start of his promising career. The Millbury Police Department's locker room drama continues to unfold until Conner is forced into a labyrinth of special assignments and undercover work to expose the local criminal justice system's corruption. Special Investigator Jane Kennedy, from the State's Attorney's Office, asks Conner to do the impossible: infiltrate and expose potential corruption at the highest levels of justice, including turning state's evidence on his friends and coworkers to root out wayward cops. This story, loosely based on true events, takes readers on a wild ride of ups and downs as they follow Officer Conner Phoenix's adventures and the fading of the "Thin Blue Line" of police loyalty to a "Faded Blue Line."
