Description

This is not a typical Enneagram book. There are no profiles to memorize, no boxes to fit into, and no strategies for self-improvement. Instead, The Enneagram Fairytales invites you into a different kind of knowing. Each story begins in Essence—a natural state of wholeness, aliveness, and belonging. Then something happens: a moment too much, too soon, or not enough. In response, a protective pattern forms—what the Enneagram calls type. But here, that pattern is not treated as a flaw. It is understood as a form of devotion—a way the heart learned to protect something precious. And then, gently, the story continues. Each tale opens a doorway into awakening—what becomes possible when presence returns and the pattern no longer has to carry the burden alone. This is the Enneagram as story, as medicine, and as a path back to love.

About The Author

Ipek Serifsoy is a transformational leadership guide and founder of The Leader's Muse Institute. For over two decades, she has cultivated a wholistic, inside-out approach to leadership—helping leaders integrate head, heart, and body to engage the world with resilience, creativity, and care. She is known for creating spacious environments where authentic growth can take root and collective intelligence can emerge. Ipek's work is grounded in her doctoral research, The Leader's Muse, which explored leadership as artistry, perception, and consciousness in action. She has advanced this work through The Leader's Muse Institute and by co-leading the Deep Coaching Institute (DCI) with her life and work partner, Jim DiFalco. Programs she founded and leads include DCI's Leader-as-Coach program and the Wholistic Leadership Circles (WLC). Participants in these programs become part of a learning community grounded in presence, connection, and shared insight. Ipek integrates presence-based coaching, the Enneagram (as a path back to essence), relational intelligence, and deep inner development to support more conscious and connected leadership. She partners with leaders and organizations to strengthen capacity, spark innovation, and cultivate cultures of trust, often drawing on the "Creative Moment"—her practice of attuning to emergence. At the heart of Ipek's work is a devotion to love. She sees love as the underlying power of leadership and the generative force that makes it possible to evoke collective intelligence. She and Jim live in Mill Valley, California, close to their delightful adult daughter. They share their home with their beloved husky and bunny, while considering the birds and creatures of their neighborhood part of their extended family.
