Description

How can the indifference and the inability of humankind break even one of the most beautiful spells of this world? The story is set in Venice in a magical city created by a spell of Morgan Le Fey, who, in agreement with Merlin, made a pact to build one of his creations if Man could maintain the city's beauty. Only a philosophy student, Marco, can save Venice from disappearing from this world. This magic realism story intertwines practical life, excursions among the beauties of the streets of Venice, pollution problems, philosophy, the coexistence of different religions, all during the golden age of Venice. It describes the ineptitude of Italian politicians, the indifference of the inhabitants, and a story of love. A malignant wizard living in a different universe and a Tsunami over the ruin of Venice make this book intriguing. Marco's love for Venice can only be described as obsessive, yielding no room for others to enter his life. Genevieve, a visiting, northern European woman inspired by a love book, searches for love herself in Venice. She interjects into Marco's world, hoping to capture his heart. Will Marco ever be able to love anyone but Venice? Is Marco reliable? Is he going crazy? He's already obsessed with Venice. Perhaps he is crazy, after all. Or maybe this is the reality of this story. Will Marco, the new Venetian paladin, be able to save Venice?
