Description

Philosophy, from its earliest days, has asked: What is the self? What does it mean to be human? Are we primarily thinking beings, moral agents, social actors, or legal persons? About The Author

My name is Francois D. Pujol. I was born in France and am now a citizen of the United States, residing in Texas. In 1989, I completed a Master of Arts degree with a concentration in Political Philosophy and Philosophy of Law. I remain deeply indebted to my professors, whose scholarly interests in legal and political philosophy, particularly in the areas of liberty and toleration, greatly influenced my own intellectual development. This book is the culmination of many years of study, reflection, and engagement with philosophical and political ideas. It is important to acknowledge that the work presented here is not the product of isolated effort. Rather, it has been informed by a wide array of sources: academic texts, historical studies, insightful political commentators, and extensive research—both in print and online.
