The Bootstraps of my Life is the story of my life. I started as a child looking for my bootstraps and only found buckles or zippers. As I grew into a teenager and older, I realized what my grandmother meant about pulling up your bootstraps. When I became a mother, I really realized how God worked in my life. My faith was strong and I have always believed in Jesus Christ since I was a young child. My mother would read me Bible stories and taught me to pray. I believe that On the Solid Rock I stand. All other ground is sinking sand. God walks with me and talks with me every day all the way.

"Pull up your bootstraps and move ahead. I have heard that cliche since I was a small child. My grandmother would always say that followed with "it will be okay." I hope while reading this book, the reader will find inspiration and faith in God. I know how He has blessed my life and know the plan for my life is held by Him. All things happen in His time and not in mine. I thank Him every morning for a new day. In the evening I find peace in thanking Him for the blessings of the day. I used to say "Oh, that was certainly that was a co-incident; now I refer to the happenings as God incidents.

Patricia Murphy is a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She has always lived with a strong faith with her heavenly Father. She has trusted Him to guide her on her life journey through many joys and many tears. This book was originally written as a legacy for her children and family to read. Through her journeys she has experienced many God incidents. She is thankful for God blessing her life with family, friends and co workers who have influenced her life. Thanks to her grandmother and mother, the two mentors in her life, she is the woman that she is today. She has always dreamed of writing a book of poetry and publishing her thoughts. God willing that will be the next chapter in her life.
