Elaine Newton spent forty years working in the federal government before retiring in 2023. One of her retirement goals was to write a children's book based on the bedtime stories that she used to tell her niece. Elaine's debut novel, "The Adventures of Mayola: My World is Changing" is co-authored with her niece. This novel is the first in a series based on the character of Mayola the housecat.
