Description
Atticus aka 8, a troubled teen cat, is anything but Awesome. To prove his prowess to his punkish teen cat buddies, he bolsters their foolhardy plan only to have it backfire. He speeds away from the scene on a motorcycle crashing suddenly in an abandoned Fairgrounds. Clinging to his prized possessions; a lacrosse stick and a guitar, he spots his long lost dog, Boris just as a portal opens and a rollercoaster races toward him. His Nightmares come alive as the Cats within try to claim his unexplained gift: hands that light up. They grab their prize and spiral off into the new galaxy, vying for Atticus’ super hands. He is saved by a pretty Anabelle Cat attacking the Nightmares from her teacup with buckets of paint. Anabelle takes Atticus and Boris to Norg, The Rockkeeper for advice. Norg explains that Atticus is the chosen one and his hands hold the power to save the universe. Atticus, reluctant to follow the destiny being described to him, explains he only wants to find his missing father. Atticus’ father, The Spaceman, appears and disappears while the Red Cat and his army, controlled by Lord Vastfear, kill more and more stars and threaten the Ruby Fortress inside the Diamond Planet. A cast of strange beings lend more to the missing pieces and convince Atticus that he does hold power. Only one piece is lacking for dark to take over and destroy the Universe. Will Atticus find his father? Will he realize how to use his power in time? Will Norg and Boris and Anabelle be enough to stave off the enemy long enough for Atticus to realize his potential?
