About the author
Archbishop Wynn Wagner is the Coadjutor Emeritus of the North American Old Catholic Church. His regional responsibilities included all of the territory from Florida to Texas. He is also the retired president of the World Conference of Old Catholic Churches.
Yes, his former colleagues and co-workers in the Old Catholic Church cringe a little when they hear the archbishop has written another book. Yes, they most likely rolled their eyes when they heard this was about tarot. No, Abp. Wynn doesn’t really care about that. He wrote a four-part trilogy, so bishops rolling their eyes is little more than a rounding error.
Before he was an archbishop, he earned a living as a computer programmer. In addition to helping write tax software used by the largest corporations in America, he also founded OPUS, a large bulletin-board system (BBS) in the 1980s. OPUS was a forerunner of the Internet. It was the most popular BBS in history. One remarkable thing about OPUS is that Wynn never made a penny from its sale. He asked users to donate money to their local HIV/AIDS charity. Opus raised millions of dollars for those charities around the world at a time when no government and few individuals were doing anything to help those suffering from the pandemic.
