The theme of the book is about the first solid foods that parents can feed their children. The story features Sweet Potato Pete a young country boy who loves sweet potatoes. He wants to share the sweet potatoes he's grown with the kids in town, but he needs the help of his pals, the Green Garden Gang, Carrot-top Karen, Banana Anna, String Bean Slim, Apple Andy and Sweet Pea Penelope to overcome the obstacles. The book features a link to an original song that makes it more fun as a sing-along. The striking illustrations create an engaging world for everyone. About The Author

Art Ehrens is an award-winning writer, producer and director. He leads EMM Creative, a successful production company in Bethesda, MD. Sweet Potato Pete and the Green Garden Gang is his first children's book, and the first in the Green Garden Gang series aimed at teaching children healthy eating habits.

Bob Howard is an award-winning illustrator and animator. Bob started drawing as a child like most people, but he never stopped. He does that every day. He’s done many jobs from touring musician to animator, from computer graphics and special effects specialist to recording engineer, but always making art. To him, everything is an art project. His house is a toy box and every day is recess.
