The book is a selection of court cases from the early modern equity courts of England, Star Chamber, Requests, and Chancery They have been chosen and developed with a focus on domestic conflicts with an eye towards their value as stories in their own right. It is intended that they should both entertain and offer comparative insights to the darker side Tudor family life in all its complexities.
