Returning to the idyllic Adirondack Mountain, newlyweds Kat and Dillon Walker learn of an escalating crisis in the dense forests surrounding their Great Lake Sacandaga home. Hikers are being hunted by an unknown assailant, and a vicious attack in the nearby village is tied to unsolved area disappearances. For Dillon, whispers of monsters lurking in the nearby woods reveal a long-buried secret, jeopardizing the new life he and Kat have begun to build. Having survived last year's shark attacks, all their hopes of a peaceful summer fade away as Kat and Dillon's growing connection to the attacks puts them in greater peril. As the danger deepens, it falls to them to unravel this mystery before more of their loved ones fall prey to the elusive Squatch in Daga.

About The Author


Cindy Mauro Reisenauer began her passion for storytelling as a children's book author and illustrator with the award-winning picture books, Emerita, and Line by Line: Everyone Can Draw Dinosaurs. Cindy is also the illustrator of ACC and Me, and Emme and Me. More recently, Cindy co-authored a memoir with her son, Alex, the award-winning Knowing Alex: Life with Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum, and two adult suspense novels: Shark in Daga and Squatch in Daga. Before Cindy became an author, she earned a graduate degree in education and had a wonderful career as a visual arts teacher. When not in her studio, Cindy can often be found with a camera in hand, taking pictures of the people, pets, and places she loves most.
